๐Ÿ”Š Who's Making Sound?

Instant visual meters per app in your menu bar. Traces short audio beeps and keeps a 15-minute history so you can find the source even after it stops.

๐Ÿ“ž Automatic Call Muting

When Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Slack, or FaceTime activates the microphone, all other apps are automatically muted. Apps starting mid-call are muted too.

๐ŸŽฏ Effortless Control

Mute an app with a click. Option-click to solo. Drag the optional mini-widget anywhere on your screen. Right-click to mark an app as "Never Mute".

๐Ÿ”’ Private & Sandboxed

Zero telemetry, zero trackers, and zero network calls. Audio levels are computed entirely in-memory using Apple's official Core Audio APIs.

How It Works

PipeDown uses native macOS 14.2+ Core Audio process taps. When a call application engages your microphone, PipeDown detects the state change and mutes background audio streams without altering system volume or disrupting Bluetooth headsets.

Once your call ends, your previous audio state is restored exactly as it was.
